1999 polaris sportsman 500 4x4 problem. I have a sportsman 500 that i can never win with. My speedometer stopped working about 5 months ago and ever since i bought this ATV the 4x4 has ben switching from working and not working, most of the times I've fixed it by cleaning up the terminals in the switch but this time it didn't work. looked ....

big4x4mudder · #3 · Jan 11, 2011. I did this fix on my 01 sportsman before I was on this forum I did it in the speedo pod. Took a bit to find what 2 wires to tie into but works great. On my quad it was the 2nd wire in on each side of the 6 wire plug on the speedo.
